In the last decade, Africa has been on the brink of a major transformation, with six of the world’s 10 fastest growing economies coming from the continent, and the number is expected to rise to seven in the five years to 2015. This projection is coming at a time when the rest of the world is confronted with political and economic challenges.
The continent has great lessons to learn from China – by adopting its own home-grown policies. It is this inward economic agenda that has helped the Asian nation to transit from a third world country to the fastest-growing economy in the world.

WACS cable officially launched on Africa's west coast

West Africa Cable System (WACS), the fibre optic cable set to meet demand for fast, efficient broadband in Africa was officially launched today in Cape Town.
The 17,200km fibre optic cable links Southern and Western Africa to Europe and will effectively raise South Africa's current broadband capacity by more than 500 Gigabits per second (Gbps).

FDI Into Continent Accelerates As Investor Perceptions Begin to Shift

Growing optimism and confidence among international and African investors has lead to significant inward investment into Africa over the last decade according to Ernst Young’s second African Attractiveness Survey.
The report combines an annual analysis of investment into Africa since 2003, with a survey of 505 global executives on their views about how and where investment will take place in the next decade and predicts that Africa is poised to enter the premier league of investment destinations.
