AEG puts up solar equipment factory outside Cape Town

Energy technology and power electronics company AEG Power Solutions has put up a manufacturing facility for utility-scale solar inverters and skytron combiner boxes, which are used in monitoring and control solutions.

AEG said the development of the facility was in line with the South African government’s renewable energy program as it would attract more interest and international investments in the emerging African solar power division.
