Nigeria's federal government targets U.S.$8 billion dollars from palm oil export

The Federal Government said on Thursday that it was targeting eight billion dollars revenue from palm oil export under the Agriculture Transformation Agenda (ATA).

Dr Akinwumi Adesina, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, said the ministry planned to support the production of 240,000 hectares of oil palm in the next three years through smallholder farmers and oil palm estates.
