Zanzibar is about 85 km long, 30 km wide and is well known for its coral reefs, wonderful sandy beaches and great water sport activities like scuba diving and fishing. The interesting capital Stone Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, has exotic bazaars and a great choice of shops and restaurants. You will discover its rich history while walking through its narrow alleyways along carved wooden doors and covered balconies. The islands best beaches can be found on the east coast at an hour´s drive from Stone Town. Zanzibar is best reachable by plane from Arusha, Dar es Salaam or Nairobi or by boat from Dar es Salam (2 hours).

Where will you be staying: the Breezes Beach club

The Breezes Beach club is a comfortable beach resort for those in search of a peaceful getaway in combination with a great choice of sports activities. In a beautiful tropical landscaped garden there are 70 spacious en-suite rooms and suites, fully air-conditioned and with either a terrace or balcony. Breezes has a variety of sports facilities: swimming pool, windsurfing, canoes, PADI dive centre, an excellent spa and a tennis court. But you can also hire a bicycle and head down the beach to Bwejuu village. There are two bars and several restaurants to choose from among with an excellent seafood restaurant.
